An Introduction to my universe

Who am I ?/Qui suis je?

Ney i bego (Bonjour) à vous tous internautes!

N'ye Bego(Hello) to all of you!
Mam y'a (I am) Pitroipa Soukeyna Djahira.

The words I just translated are a few strands of Moorée the language of mossi, an ethnic group found nowhere else than in Burkina Faso. I am Mossi, from Burkina Faso and I lived in the capital Ouagadougou. Indeed, I lived ...
On August 31, 2019 I left my dear homeland to study for 2 years the International Baccalaureate in Costa Rica a small country in the middle of Central America and part of Latin America. You may think that it's a really exotic destination to study?
Well, it's the exotic choice of the United World College (UWC) movement to estabish one of its 18 schools in Costa Rica. Also, it is thanks to the UWC National Committee of Burkina Faso. It was this wonderful community of former UWCers who offered me this opportunity and others Burkinabe students to join a school that is part of this movement. By the way... I am the first Burkinabe to integrate UWC Costa Rica. We will say that I will put the foundation stone of the foundation. 😉 I aspire above all to do my best to succeed at UWC Costa Rica and then open other doors for Burkinabe wanting to join this movement, despite my delay...

Indeed, the date of arrival for UWC CR was scheduled for August 12 but I had an immigration problems. I did not have my visa yet. But, this another story. I think one day I would talk about it more deeply in another article because I lived a sacred adventure ...

So, you may guess already the main topics of this blog. On this platform I will immerse you in the world of UWC CR, talk about my daily life, my activities on the campus. In addition, I would like to share my big and small adventures as a representative of Burkina in this unusual campus. I would often share my thoughts and writing, just for the pleasure of writting. This blog will be written in English and French so that more people can discover and appreciate my work. Without any further word.

I invite you into another world, away from the dust, the sounds of motorcycles, heat and chickens bicycles.

Welcome to my world and UWC Costa Rica!
